photo 15 Jul I’M BACK!

Wow it’s been so long.  I hadn’t run in nearly 6 weeks and at the end of June I finally gave the knee a test run.  I still had some pain and things felt uncertain.  My mind went in every single direction, wondering what would happen if I could never run again.  So I took another week off.  Then I ran a mile.  And then 2 miles.  Finally the other night I just threw it all to the wind.  I decided that I would run from my house in Astoria to Central Park.  About 5 miles.  If I hurt my knee for good so be it.  I’d just run with the pain for the rest of my life.  So I ran.  And Ran.  And guess what?  It felt amazing.  I still have a little pain, but nothing that my body won’t deal with.  So now begins the long road to the race.  Can I do it?  YES.  I’M BACK!
